Whether you’re ordering one shirt or a hundred, here’s your no-fluff guide to choosing the perfect T-shirt fabric.

Ring-Spun Cotton: The Gold Standard

Best for: Everyday wear, gifting, softness lovers

Ring-spun cotton is the go-to for most custom tees, and for good reason. It’s made by twisting and thinning the cotton strands, which makes the fabric softer, smoother, and more durable than regular cotton.

Why we love it:

Tri-Blend: Soft, Stretchy, and Vintage-Looking

Best for: Fitted looks, athletic wear, vintage lovers

Tri-blend fabric combines cotton, polyester, and rayon. The result? A dreamy tee that’s super soft, drapey, and slightly heathered for that worn-in look.

Heavyweight Cotton: Durable & Structured

Heavyweight tees use thicker cotton (often 6 oz or more), giving them a more structured feel. They’re less about stretch and more about substance.

Most of our tees are preshrunk, so what you see is what you get. But it’s always smart to check the care tag and size up if you're between sizes, especially for 100% cotton shirts.
